Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated community health trust providing services to children and families, people with learning disabilities, people experiencing mental health problems and people with substance misuse needs.
A fluid, joined up identity for a difficult subject
Derbyshire Mental Health Trust must compete for Government funds – with other Trusts and with the private sector, and thus it needs to establish and maintain a clear and suitably differentiated brand identity.
Working closely with The Trust, we built a clear picture of each of the involved stakeholder groups through in depth qualitative interviews, backed up with internet-based quantitative research.
After assessing the complex network of relationships involved, we resolved an enduring brand essence and brief – and against this underlying brief produced a new corporate identity and a wide range of collateral to illustrate the scope of the new approach.
The Trust has been awarded Foundation status after the rebrand and is now seen as a more communicative and dynamic organisation.
