Wild about animals?
Designhouse were tasked with refreshing the visual identity of award winning animal photographer Steve Hoskins.
The challenge was to not overwork the logo and produce a simple solution and system that complemented the photography.
A contemporary wordmark and monogram are at the heart of the refresh that uses the theory of camera obscura. A diagonal system splitting the canvas into a quartet was divised, using the holding dot in the monogram as the axis point. Dividing the visual in this fashion gave greater scope for using diverse imagery and abstract crops. The monogram is used as a shorthand communication device and often accompanies stark and varied imagery reinforcing the photographers broad portfolio.
