Community spirit

Writing this, seven weeks into lockdown with light at the end of the tunnel and as we begin to think about how ‘the new normal’ may affect our own lives, we must remember that we are not there yet.

This national emergency has brought our communities together (not literally) and has made room for some fantastic campaigns such as Run 5 Donate 5 which has raised over £5 million to support the NHS.

We must pay tribute, however, to the key frontline nurses and doctors that risk their lives every day and do not directly benefit from this overwhelming generosity. This week Angus Reynolds, one of our Account executives, spent Monday volunteering at his local catering company. He was helping to prepare, package, label and deliver some delicious and nutritious meals to our key frontline workers in the NHS.

Other members of our team have been actively involved in raising funds for RobbiesRehab (rehabilitation for children brain tumours) creating RobbiesRecyle and PSDS (providing support for children with Down syndrome and their families).

Designhouse thrives on the family atmosphere that we have successfully created within our office. Whilst we miss seeing each other every day, we are in constant contact and seeking ways we can help our clients #keeptheballrolling and maintain communication during this period of uncertainty.

Please keep well and keep in touch.
