How have you been spending your time during lockdown?

Here at Designhouse, we’ve been coming up with creative ways of fundraising for our favourite charity, Robbie’s Rehab, who help children with brain tumours.

Covid-19 has put a stop to many planned fundraisers, leaving charities struggling to meet their financial targets for the year.  So people are having to think of alternative, socially distanced, ideas to raise money.

Team members have been sorting through garages, attics and cupboards and selling unwanted items, with all funds going to Robbie’s Rehab. So far we have raised more than £500.

Robbie’s Recycle is one of many events organised to raise money for Robbie’s Rehab, all initiatives following the RR theme, like Robbie’s Run, Robbie’s Recital and Robbie’s Route.

We are proud to support this ground-breaking children’s outpatient service, which, after a successful three-year pilot funded by Robbie’s Rehab charity, was all set to be commissioned as an NHS department at Southampton General Hospital this June. Due to Covid-19, the charity has decided to extend funding for another year, so every penny raised counts.

Robbie’s dad, Mark is about to embark on another event, Robbie’s Rubicon, where he and his friend John will (socially-distanced) run 126km from Worthing Hospital to Odiham all in one day, with a fundraising target of £26,200.  We wish them both the best of luck and strong legs!
