TalentMapper
A Brand Without Bias
Background
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) continues to take centre stage in HR strategies, as a result, businesses are seeking innovative solutions to embed fairness and transparency into their talent management programmes.
TalentMapper, a dynamic seed-funded start-up, is leading this transformation with its AI-powered platform. It is designed to eliminate unconscious bias, ensuring skills and experience take precedence over personal attributes.
As part of this work, TalentMapper engaged us to create a brand identity that reflects the core values of fairness, trust and innovation. They needed an identity that would stand out in a niche but crowded market, at the same time staying true to their mission of delivering unbiased talent management.
Opportunity
Our goal was to develop a design system that speaks directly to HR professionals. And specifically professionals who share a commitment to equity and authenticity. Consequently, we undertook extensive research, talking to both TalentMapper clients and employees. And from this insight we found the challenge was to visually represent inclusivity, while remaining both engaging and impartial. In response, our solution was built around neomorphism design principles.
In order to suggest the seamless talent fit that TalentMapper enables, we introduced silhouettes of people that appear to dissolve within organisations. Moreover, these subtle silhouettes are designed to visually support the brand legend, the right fit, every time.
Result
Because TalentMapper was founded by HR professionals, they have deep knowledge and experience of the industry and the challenges HR teams face. Consequently, the new brand embraces a cool understated aesthetic that looks and feels authentic. It is in stark contrast to the clutter and noise to be found in this niche market.
In order to stands apart from competitors that employ strong colours for attention, we developed a softer palette. Thus, playing the quiet game, TalentMapper commands confidence in a subject that deserves to be treated sympathetically - talent management without bias.
Matthew Gillman, Creative Director at Designhouse, commented: “Reimagining TalentMapper’s brand is an incredible opportunity to help bring a positive and inspiring story to life. We're proud to be part of their next chapter and the impact they will have on countless careers. We look forward to seeing the brand find its perfect fit within the sector.”
